No we haven't looked into that but thanks for the info. I will definitely take a look at what they could possibly offer in terms of promotion for The Northern Open and for Kendo in general.

Hello again all

Another update for the Northern Open Alba 2010. We are pleased to announce that Eurokendo will once again be our sponsor and courtesy of Eurokendo, the prize for the winning team this year will a voucher for £300 to be be spent with Eurokendo.

Eurokendo will also have a stall at the event so please take alook at their website http://www.eurokendo.com . They have some wonderful products on offer, plus pre-orders can be made to be collected at the Taikai

We already have a number of teams registered so, we would love for you to join them and come visit us in glasgow on October 2nd.

Hello all

Just a quick update on The Northern Open Alba, which is taking place on October 2nd in Glasgow.
There has been a change in venue, we are longer at the Kelvinhall, the Taikai will be held at Scotstoun Leisure Centre. All details of this are on our website www.northernopen.co.uk
The deadline for registrations in September 26th so there are still a few weeks left.

Greetings All
The date and Venue for this years Northern Open (novo castria) has been confirmed and registration is now open. The Taikai will take place on the weekend of July 30th 2011 and will be held at:
Joseph Swan School
Gateshead
Tyne and Wear

First of all we would like to announce that all profit from this years event will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross. Also it our great pleasure to announce that Shinpan-cho for this years event will be none other than Mr Terry Holt Sensei, Nana-dan Kyoshi of Mumeishi dojo London. This will be Holt Sensei's first attendance at the Northern Open and it will be our honour to have him at our event.
In previous years the Northern Open has only been a team taikai, but this year we will also be having an individual tournament which will take place on the Sunday July 31st.

We hope to see you all in July, for a fabulous Taikai and Weekend, and hopefully we can raise a decent amount of money to help the people affected by the tragic events which occured in Japan.

Just a quick update regarding this years Northern Open.

We already have 24 teams registered and 50 for the individuals, so please visit our site and get signed up to join us on October 20/21 for a fantastic weekend in Glasgow!
