Iaido – West Midlands Seminar & Grading

The West Midlands Iaidojo group have pleasure in announcing the
1st Annual Midlands Iaido Seminar to be held at:

TUDOR GRANGE LEISURE CENTRE
Blossomfield Road, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 1NB

on

Saturday May 15th (10:00 – 4:45) and Sunday May 16th (9:30 – 12:30)
followed by an Ikkyu and Shodan Grading (1:30 – 3:30)

This is a British Kendo Association event, led by Victor Cook sensei, 7th dan Renshi, supported by Fay Goodman sensei, 7th dan Renshi – and other senior instructors as appointed.

The seminar’s purpose is to fill a vacancy in the BKA’s Iaido timetable, and give candidates for the gradings an opportunity to attain ikkyu in time to attempt shodan at Summer Seminar in August. It also provides an opportunity for shodan candidate who may not, for work or family reasons, be able to attend the Summer Seminar, to test for this grade.

Dojo leaders, please notify your dojo members of this event, and we look forward to seeing as many attendees as possible. We also look forward to hearing from dojo leaders who will be attending, and may be able to assist the organisers of this event.

As well as the seminar, we will be organising a meal on the Saturday evening, at an approximate cost of £13 for a Chinese/Japanese buffet.

Please note that the organisers prefer you to book online here:
