Temporary Membership & Grading Times
Following the NC/Bucho meeting on Sunday, 19th July 2009, it was decided, with immediate effect, that Members’ grading clocks shall start from the date of first joining the Association as a full or temporary member. This is a change from previous practice where time spent as a Temporary Member did not count towards the grading clock. Essentially this means beginners will be able to apply for Ikkyu gradings up to three months earlier*. Full minutes of the meeting will be published shortly.
*NB Membership needs to be continuous and full membership needs to be taken out immediately at the end of the temp period.
