Further Kendo gradings in abeyance
The post of Kendo Bu grading officer has been vacant for over a year. This has led to reliance on people filling in on the day, extra workload for other Bu officers and significant extra charges for work performed by Duco (the company performing our administration). This state of affairs cannot continue.
Until a Kendo Bu grading officer is in place no Kendo gradings will be added to the BKA calendar. Those currently in the calendar will go ahead as announced.
The responsibilities of the grading officer can be found in the BKA constitution, Appendix 2 (page 49).

As per section 16.4 of the BKA constitution “Certificate of eligibility to grade” will be provided to members wanting to grade at official FIK and EKF gradings.
